Winter is not the time to chill out on the Ash River Trail. Minnesota snowmobiling really heats up when the temperatures cool down! Voyageurs National Park has the finest trail system in the Midwest connecting hundreds of miles of well marked snowmobile trails- from Vermillion to Crane Lake, Sandpoint to Namakan and Lake Kabetogama to Rainy Lake.

Our trail groomers do an excellent job of providing you with the best MN snowmobiling. There’s only one trail they can’t groom; the Chain of Lakes trail located on the Kabetogama peninsula has breath taking views you won’t find anywhere else.

Minnesota ice fishing is an angler’s dream come true at the Ash River Trail. Ice houses can be arranged through one of our resorts or bring your own. Just remember, they must be at least 50 feet from the snowmobile trail. Walleye, crappie, and northern can be caught between the Ash River Visitor Center and the Sullivan Bay portage.
